New things in Odieland...

So Oliver has been learning new things everyday!

He has officially perfected crawling and is pulling up everywhere! He stands on the gate into the kitchen like a prison inmate...now if I can just keep him from chewing on my coffee table...and who said kids weren't just like dogs??

Speaking of dogs, my wonderful sweetie Francine decided to projectile vomit this liquidy bile stuff all over the wall by the back door. She must have done this when I left the room, so I didn't see it at first...

A few minutes later I see Oliver all covered in..."something" and I start looking around and I realize he is covered in Francine puke....sigh.



It only took Hermie .2 seconds to realize that Odie feeds her....do you think she wants something???

Labor Day Weekend

Finally, some nice weather! We all went up to Grandma and Grandpa Young's for some lakeside fun!

We all had a great time....Jeffrey brought the bean bag toss, and we brought the wii and hooked it up outside after dark for some twilight bowling :) It was a lot of fun!

Oliver's 9 (actually 10) Month appointment

Oliver's check-up went well! Dr. Hart says that his skills are above average...which we already knew...of course ;)

He now weighs 19lbs 15oz and is 28 3/4 inches tall.

He got a flu shot, which he wasn't too happy about, but other than that, everything went great...and we were even out of there in a little over 30 minutes!

Finally...a weekend at home!

Last week was a big week for Oliver! He is now standing up in his crib and pulling himself up to the coffee table...he also pulls himself up to the gate into the kitchen and yells at it like an inmate...apparently patience isn't something that you are born with...lol.


On Saturday, we went to Jeff and Julie's and had dinner with my parents. Odie had a great time playing with the doggies, especially Gracie...she's so sweet and even handled Oliver stealing her bone...and trying to eat it himself, of course :)

Waffle Farms!

Last weekend Jason, Odie and I traveled to Coldwater to meet Grandma and Grandpa Feazel for a camping weekend at Waffle Farms. It's one of my favorite spots, so far...

Of course, Coldwater is just a few minutes away from Allen...one of our favorite antique places...but that was just a perk... :)

It was a chilly weekend, but we enjoyed the cool weather.

World's Smallest KOA....

This past weekend, the Garrett Family met up with the Golab Family for a fun-filled weekend at the Holly KOA.

Now, we picked this park because it was designated a "Fun Park"....but it was the size of my back yard....okay not that small, but close!

Regardless, we all had a great time! It was the hottest weekend of the year so far, so we spent lots of time at the pool and in the shade!

Sleepy Hollow State Park!

So, another camping weekend for the Garrett family! On the 7th we went to Sleepy Hollow State Park so we could be close to the Golab's for Beckham's 1st Birthday!

When we got there, Grandma and Grandpa Feazel had a surprise! Odie got his own push car!!

On Saturday, we went to the Golab's for Beckham's Big Day! It was raining cats and dogs all morning, but the sun came out for the party. Odie got pretty sick on the way over, but other than that, we all had a great time!

Our first REAL camping trip!

Last weekend was our first camping trip! We went to Allendale, MI with our friends Scott, Becky and Madison. We spent the weekend hanging out, and on Saturday morning, Becky and I met her sister Jill to go to the Holland Art Fair...which was pretty nice, BTW.

There was a HUGE playground that Maddie loved, and we were really excited about the pool with the big slide....until we got there and it was FREEZING!!

It did rain for much of Saturday, but we all still had a great time! Oliver just adores Maddie and they had great fun!!

Let's PARTY! Grandma and Grandpa Young's 50th Anniversary!

Last weekend was another busy one! We went up to Grandma and Grandpa's Thursday night after work to get ready for the big shindig! Along with the usual players, my cousins Sara, Blake and the kids, as well as my Aunt Lori and Uncle Jim came up on Friday...and then my other cousins Greg and Ashlee came up on Saturday. Along with Shelly's friends Gina and Nancy...we had a full house!
